These are answers to frequently asked questions about services offered by Domain
Protector. If you have a question that is not answered below please

Why would I want more than one domain?
There are many reasons why you would want to own more than one domain related to
your organisation, for some of the main reasons please read our
top ten reasons for owning related domain names.
How often do you check for expiring domains?
We have captured thousands of expired domains since late 2006 for private clients and have now refined our system for split second timing using the latest .NET 2.0 framework and multi-location backups to ensure maximum uptime.
Our systems check daily for expiring domains, however once we are aware of the days leading to the expiry of your chosen domains, our system will be checking every second of every day to capture the domain on your behalf.
Will you be able to remember the exact date and time the domain you want will expire?
Domains can expire and be captured by someone else instantly and can be lost to you. With our system ready and waiting, you can leave the work to us and be assured that we will capture the domain when it expires.
Can I just register available domains from the free report myself?
Yes you can, however you will not benefit from our expertise and management services (as detailed on the services page) that will enable you to maximise on the benefits of the domain you have just registered.
There will be no charge from us and we can help you with the transfer, but please
note there will be no refunds on monies paid and there is a minimum 6 month commitment
if paying monthly. Please note that the domain hosting company you wish to move
to may charge you for transferring domains to them.
Can I move my domains to another company straight away?
Yes you can and we can help you with the transfer, but please note there will be
no refunds on monies paid and there is a minimum 6 month commitment if paying monthly.
How do I transfer a domain to Domain Protector to manage for me?
This depends on the domain extension as some of them have different procedures.
We can guide you through each one and provide you with any paperwork required.
Why does the domain name of my email address have to match the domain name I want a report on?
This is for security reasons to make sure that no one outside of your company can create a report on domains related to your company’s domain name.
Domain forwarding is redirecting users who type in a certain domain name to another webpage. It is important to redirect visitors in a search engine friendly way as
not to damage your search engine ranking but to improve them. Domain Protector offer
search engine friendly domain forwarding at no extra cost as part of our Domain Acquisition service.
Why would I want domains in different extensions?
To combat cybersquatters, typosquatters and to avoid losing out on traffic.
What if I change my mind about capturing a domain when it expires?
You may cancel your order for capturing a domain name at anytime and either transfer the service to another domain or have a full refund.
What if I sell or want to let a domain expire?
If you sell a domain we will not charge for transferring the domain out. If you wish to let a domain expire, simply notify us at least 30 days prior to the expiry date and we will not renew the domain.
You can add more domains quickly and easily at anytime through our control panel,
which you will be given a login and password for when you have registered domains
through us or requested us to capture domains on your behalf.
Do you host my website?
We do not currently offer web hosting facilities, we can however point your domain name to the hosting company of your choice.
